More isn't always better.
We've become rather good at adding things.
Another feature. Another page. Another tool. Another automation. Another platform.
And now, with AI, the ability to create more has become almost unlimited.
More copy.
More ideas.
More content.
More possibilities.
But more can create a different problem.
Sometimes a business doesn't need another tool.
It needs to stop using three tools to do something that could be done with one.
Sometimes a website doesn't need another section.
It needs one section removed.
Sometimes the customer doesn't need more information.
They need the important information to be easier to find.
AI makes adding things incredibly easy.
And that can be both wonderful and slightly dangerous.
When producing something takes seconds, it's very tempting to produce everything.
Five versions? Why not?
Ten ideas? Sure.
Another landing page? Easy.
But somebody still has to decide what stays.
That's where clarity comes in.
Clarity isn't about having all the answers.
It's about knowing what matters.
What belongs. What doesn't. What's useful. What's distracting.
And sometimes the best improvement you can make isn't adding the cherry on top.
It's taking something away first.
Because once the unnecessary bits have gone, you can finally see what's underneath.
AI can help us create more than ever.
The interesting skill may be learning when enough is enough.
And perhaps that's the real human advantage:
Not simply knowing what we can do — but knowing what we should do.
Back to the beginning: AI can build a website. So what?
