AI is incredibly useful here
None of this means AI isn't useful for websites.
Quite the opposite.
I've become very fond of having AI do the repetitive work.
Write the CSS. Refactor the code. Create responsive rules. Repeat structures. Spot inconsistencies. Turn an idea in my head into actual HTML.
Things that used to take ages can now take minutes.
That's a very good thing.
I don't particularly want to spend three hours manually producing something repetitive if AI can do it in three minutes.
But I still have to look at the result.
On a desktop. On a phone. At different widths. In different browsers.
And then I have to decide whether it actually works.
Sometimes the answer is yes.
Sometimes it's:
"Absolutely not. Try again."
That's not anti-AI.
It's actually a rather sensible way of using it.
Let AI handle the production. Let the human handle the judgement.
Next: Because there is one thing AI can't easily measure: how something feels.
